If you find it difficult to drink a lot of water, try adding mint, a small amount of fresh fruit or a little honey – with these additives it will be tastier and encourage you to drink more.

People who train intensively can add fruit juices to the water, which will give them more energy.

It is also worth adding sliced lemon or lemon  juice to the water and drinking this mixture at least once a day, preferably in the morning, before breakfast.

The requirement may vary due to weight, age and activity during the day. Regardless of the person, however, you should drink at least 1.5 liters of water a day, which will avoid dehydration and ensure the proper functioning of the body.

It is worth remembering that this is pure water, possibly supplemented with mild herbal teas. The balance does not include other liquids such as sweetened drinks (also those with sweeteners instead of sugar), fruit juices, coffee or black tea.

Athletes and people who train regularly should drink the most. During exercise, we lose a large amount of water, excreted e.g. while sweating. It is recommended to drink an additional liter of water before training and refill it during exercise.
